Today I am grateful for this time of year. I just LOVE those Autumn Leaves.

I do so love this time of year. The leaves are so beautiful, even in their swansong and right till their very crisp end.

Even better if you are flying into Canada. All I can say is Wow ! Aerialy with all those maple trees…. it is utterly breathtaking.

I know it’s a cold time of year and pretty damp too, which no one knows this better than us Brits, I can assure you.

So we rush around trying to get from one warm haven to the next as fast as possible. Often moving so fast that we forget to takè the time to look around and appreciate each season’s artistry.

But i like to do the opposite when ever possible. I wrap up with my many, many and I do mean many layers as I get quite cold and I dont want that to be my excuse lnot to go out at all, or to be able to linger any longer than is absolutely necessary.

Then I go can go out on frosty walks and try to slow myself right down in order to be able to soak it all in.

To really notice and enjoy each tiny bug or feisty little Robin and rutting dear. No matter how small I see the beauty of them all.

Every tiny twisted twig or Knarley knot and bough. Each gloriously flaming leaf enjoyed.

Which wonderfully ends up feeling a lot more like a walking meditation in gratitude, for all our wonderful world filled with such incredible colour and beauty at every turn. If you only take the time to look.

Spectacular Snowy Owls.

I mean what do i really need to say? They are works of Art aren’t they. Masterpieces of both design and form, dynamics and power.

Plus they can do that friggin awesome thing with their necks able to turn right round.

Well almost.

Also I so salute these incredible photographers too. Each one of these photos are totes amazeballs and taken with such precision and timing. It’s truly a case of you had to be there.

Actually there, then, waiting, with camera out ready, I would imagine?

What animals that are bith cute and wonderful if slightly scary too. Or is it just me?

I wonder which ones are twits? And which twoos?

Home 1, Playlist.

This may be the place.

Even looking at a photo of this view brings me calm and joy.

Can you imagine what it WILL be like actually living it.

That view alone is a masterpiece, let alone the sunsets and sunrise glory you could see from there.

Ooo and even the storms

Or listening to Talking Heads….

Or just the rain….Mmmmmm

Breathtaking.

So please universe, when the time is just right. This is what I would love.

Thank you, so very much ; ) xxx

Love is love, who ever you are.

The shapes they create are just beautiful.

For me this is the only way animals should be.

Free.

No Cages, no Zoos, no Sea parks, just NO !

I don’t really know how they are still going?

Wildlife sanctuaries, yes great. Help them, heal them, yes that’s fantastic, I am completely on board.

But to keep them in cages, or even as exotic pets, locked up, swimming or pacing around the same small enclosure for life ? Unable to fly away, just used for our occasional viewing pleasure?

That’s not right.

Just no, it feels wrong.

No dolphin or whale should be captured and kept, no bird caged or grounded for our amusement, or in our names. Not in mine, please anyway.

What are we victorians? Haven’t we moved on by now?

For anyone who has had the absolute honour of seeing these kind of animals in nature, where they should be, knows that they are not the same animals that you see in captivity. With their eyes so wild, bright and alive. It is absolutely thrilling and a blessing.

I can barely bring myself to look at their caged brothers and sisters, already devoid of life, hope and vitality, with a sense that they are already dead and broken inside.

But in the wild…

It is one of the greatest joys of life. To see them there is an experience you never forget and which has changed me for the better every time.

I once had the luck and privilege to have a whole herd of these gorgeous giraffes, in whole families running along with us for maybe half an hour.

For some reason I had not ever pictured them in big groups or even running weirdly. ?

All I can say is, It was utterly incredible.

Happy, living, doing their thing, free and really alive.

As they should be.
